Fringe is in when it comes to interiors. It’s being adorned on lampshades, cushions, throws and rugs. It’s not a new trend, because it has evolved from the 1920’s Victorian era and then remerged in the 1970’s Hippie Boho era and it has once again come round full circle as an interior trend for 2019.
If you have grandparents or parents who have kept their fringe trimmed lampshade, you can tell them it’s all the rage now.
I have a friend who loves reading the interior section of my blog because it’s her quick way to see what trends are in. Being a working mum, she likes reading posts that lay out what’s new in interiors without her having to search for the information.
When pom poms were in, off she went to get a pom pom throw for the bed. She recently bought a new home so this post has been written for her in mind. Never mind she has young children and fringe is probably one of the worst things to have in a family home because it may get matted and knotted. Pro tip: Keep the fringe short to avoid such incidents.
Fringe adds texture to the bedroom. Who knew I was already onto a trend with our new bedroom linen?
Here are some budget friendly fringe homeware finds. Kmart is all over it with their fringe cushions, and for $8, they are a steal.
The Adairs cushion is actually targeted to kids, but I LOVE it. For $14.99, it’s another bargain way to add the fringe trend to your home.
