In the last week or so since I stopped shop what you got, I’ve hit a fashion rut where I have been uninspired by the outfits I’ve been putting together. Blame it on the hot, stormy weather or the fact that the year is drawing to a close, there are times where you just need to ride the ‘let it be’ wave when it comes to fashion.
In these moments when I’m uninspired by what I have in my wardrobe, I end up gravitating toward outfits which I know work every time I wear them, and lift my mood.
Here are my five go to outfits when I’m struggling with nothing to wear:
1. Maxi Dress. I can’t get enough of wearing my Kaftan maxi dresses. They are easy to slip on and I add a necklace and I’m good to go. You can win a maxi dress on my blog by entering here.
2. Stripe tee and shorts combo. At the moment, my shorts of choice are Capris because they are covering the dimples above my knees from excess weight. I have been lilly padding between my Bohemian Traders Stripe Tee and my Katies Zip Shoulder Tee.
3. Bohemian Traders Oversized Tee Maxi Dress. Unfortunately I have got holes in this dress from the washing machine, so it’s a wear at home dress now, but I still love wearing it if I know we aren’t going out anywhere
4. Printed pants and plain tee. Again, easy to chuck on and add a necklace for more interest. Sorry for the blurry image, but my four year old took this picture. 🙂
5. A cape or kimono added to a plain tee and capri/harem combo. I tend to wear this type of outfit on rainy, cooler days because I sweat from all the layers.
