Boho Midi Dresses With Sleeves

Dresses are a favourite staple in my wardrobe. I have all varying lengths of dresses in my wardrobe, but one of the common lengths would be the midi length style. In today’s post, I wanted to share with you some boho midi dresses with sleeves I came across while researching where you could buy Boho Maxi Dresses in Australia.

How to choose the right Boho Midi Dress for you

No matter your height, there will be a Boho Midi Dress perfect for you. The length of the dress will be key, and ideally you will want the hem of the dress to finish at the top of your calf or just after the knee. This will give the illusion of more leg showing and elongate your look.

Choosing a dress with an A-line skirt will also flatter. If you find a billowing midi dress, opt to go a size lower if it fits up top.

Midi dresses can be worn in summer with a strappy heel, and layered in winter with a denim jacket and ankle boot. It’s a style of dress that works well between seasons as the extra length in sleeve can add warmth.

If the maxi dress is a style you tend to shy away from, do try a Boho Midi Dress. For some ladies, the shorter length will be a maxi dress length, which may be more suitable than a standard maxi dress.

Stylish Active Wear for Tween Girls

Check our review on Lava Tribe. It’s an Australian brand designing stylish active wear for tween girls. Here’s our review on the styles sent for editorial use.

If you’ve ever shopped for girls clothing in the 6-14 bracket, you will know the options dwindle in style and fit.

Active wear for this age can be hard to find in fun patterns. Even the higher hemline of shorts can be off-putting for this age group.

If you have active girls who want to feel comfortable and look great in their sportswear, Lava Tribe should be on your radar.

I recently wrote a post on Tween Girl Outfits and Lava Tribe reached out to send some pieces over for my girls to try.

Maggie was most excited as the pieces sent fit her best and immediately she wanted to get active in her new outfit.

While Maggie wasn’t too keen on going out in the crop top, she loved the layering of the singlet over top. It felt comfortable, supportive and you can see and feel the quality of the stitching.

Active wear for tween girls

Lava Tribe was developed because “as the parents of two very sporty girls, we couldn’t find cool sportswear for them that also offered any technical or functional features so, back in 2019, we decided to make our own.”

The sportswear is on trend with “waistlines a touch higher and our shorts are a touch longer.”

A range of crop tops, sports shorts, leggings and tops are available in girl’s size 6-14.

The brand is Australian designed and owned. So purchasing your tween girls active wear from Lava Tribe supports an Aussie business who has provided an alternate solution for a gap in the market.

Lava Tribe encourage girls to think less about how their body looks and marvel more about what it can do.

It’s definitely a brand to support if you have active daughters who want to look on trend and feel supported in their sportswear.

Disclosure: I was gifted 3 pieces from the Lava Tribe range. There was no expectation of a review but the pieces were so well made and my Maggie loved the fit, I had to share about this brand with you. This post has been written in accordance with my disclosure policy

6 Longline Cardigans to Keep you Cosy This Winter

Longline cardigans are a versatile knitwear option in winter.

They shine best when worn with a basic tee and jeans outfit. This is my go to when working from home.

The key to finding a longline cardi which suits your height is to consider the ¾ length options if the maxi length falls past your ankles.

Tips for Creating Workwear Outfits from a Casual Wardrobe

Are you looking for tips creating workwear outfits from a casual wardrobe?  Here’s what I did to curate outfits for work without too much outlay.

Corporate wear has changed significantly over the last 18 months with most swapping suit trousers to soft pants while working from home.

I’ve curated my wardrobe over the years so it can blend everyday outfits with going out attire.

But recently I upped my game with my workwear.

Our workplace is smart casual, and because most of us work from home, the workwear guide is quite relaxed.

However, when going for an interview or a higher level position, dressing for the part is necessary for making an impression. It can also help with mindset.

I added a few pieces to intermix with existing items in my wardrobe to create key corporate outfits I can wear when heading into the office or the city. Dressing the part has elevated my mindset, even if I’ve felt out of my comfort zone learning a new job.

Tips for Creating Workwear Outfits from a Casual Wardrobe

If you do work in a job where going to the office is a requirement a few times a week, look at what clothes you already own which can transition to workwear.

  • Black, white and navy always look sharp for corporate wear.
  • Adding leopard print or embracing details via different textures can add interest to an outfit
  • Black pants are versatile… but what black pants do you already own which can transition to workwear? I got rid of my black pants years ago due to them not fitting and I didn’t reach for them as much as I thought. Last winter, I bought a pair of black pleather pants from Sussan, which finally had their debut at work this winter.
  • A blazer can instantly elevate an outfit for the office.
  • Invest in good quality leggings/tights for winter to wear with boots and flats.
  • If gaping holes on button blouses make you self-conscious, invest in blouses with no buttons at the front. Witchery has great options on sale right now.
  • Tie a fabric belt around a collared shirt or dress to create a necktie
