It may still be winter, but I am excited for the arrival of warmer weather. I love wearing dresses and I’m thinking it’s time to add a gingham dress to my summer wardrobe.
Three years ago I wrote about Gingham on the blog and how it was a trending pattern back in 2017.
Not much changes in fashion trends as often they repeat and come full circle a few years later.
Most patterns are classics. If you love how an item looks and feels on you, trends should have little weight.
But if you have invested in all the trending patterns over the years, you will find your wardrobe will always serve you well when trends change and emerge.
I have been going through my wardrobe and carefully considering what I’ve worn and will continue to wear with our new normal. I was going to part with a gingham shirt but I’ve kept it because it’s gingham and it’s the only gingham piece I own… at present.
A gingham dress will always be a classic to own as it holds itself with no need for accessories and can be versatile with sneakers or heels.
