My Thoughts on the Kenji Comeback Soft Pants

A few weeks ago I shared how I was looking for pants that would be comfortable to wear at night when I did my late night shifts for work and that didn’t look like Pyjama pants. Hello Kenji Comeback Soft Pants.

I have had my eye on these pants since last year and once I had some money in my Paypal account, I made a pre-sale order.

I received the pants this week and I couldn’t wait to try them and show you one way of how I will wear them.

I’m loving all the high-low tops at present and recently got this Feather and Noise black top to wear with the pants.

I put this outfit together in my head before I made the purchases so I wasn’t sure if it would work when I got the pieces. But I think they do and I love it.

I don’t have black sneakers, but I do have black ankle boots. I will definitely wear the pants with my white sneakers in the future.

Here are my thoughts on the Kenji Comeback Soft Pants

1. Love the elastacised waist. I can wear these pants on my waist or hips. Generally pants like these slide up to my waist. So waist it is for me. I’m wearing the XL and I’m generally a 16-14.

2. The bagginess around the crotch area is non-existent on me because I fill that area. So it’s a slimmer fit on me.

3. Wearing the Kenji Comeback Pants with a high low black top can hide the bagginess of the pants.

4. The hem of the pants graze above the ankles so this allows for some of my leg to show. I don’t mind this but for others who are taller than me (I’m 175cm), the pants may look more peg-like and 7/8 style when worn.

5. Definitely a trans-seasonal piece to wear as they would look fab with a black tee/singlet and black slides in summer.

6. Expensive for what look to be ‘track pants’ (I paid $80 including postage – I used a discount code by signing up to a newsletter), but I’m hoping the cost per wear will make them worth the money I spent on them.

Mind the crooked necklace.

There were mixed thoughts about these pants when I first mentioned them on the blog and I totally understand the reasons. But for me, I’m happy with the fit.
