You got that WHERE? Millers Checked Shirts

This is the second installment of You got that WHERE series. I’ve been avoiding buying new clothes because our budget has been tight and I’ve been wanting to lost weight and so I’m trying to not to buy clothes that won’t be worn for long.

Anyway, the checked shirt is trending this season and I’ve been meaning to invest in a 3/4 sleeve shirt that I can throw over my breastfeeding singlets and tees over Autumn. I walked past Millers and saw these fabulous 3/4 sleeve cotton checked shirts for $20!! I have a Millers loyalty card so the shirts got reduced again. Sadly there were mainly larger sizes on the racks but I was able to find a size 12 in a white and black check which suits my fairly monochromatic wardrobe quite well.

Checked shirts are a trend that comes in and out of season so it’s not a trend I’m willing to spend a fortune on. I sometimes feel like a farm girl when I wear checked anything… not that there’s anything wrong with being a farm girl since I am tradie myself. I just have never really gotten into the country look. But this shirt doesn’t say country at all. At first I thought it did look a bit like something my grandma would wear, but once I put it on, I loved the fit and the style. I’m wearing a size 12 so it is a generous size.

Millers have a few checked shirts available and if you purchase it online and sign up to their site you will receive a $5 voucher on your purchase. The loyalty card guarantees a discount on purchases and special promotions for card holders.

What do you think about checked shirts? Have you bought any clothes recently from somewhere you don’t normally shop?
